I wanted to love them but I just can’t

I’ve owned a pair of Myrqvist loafers for almost eight months, and despite their great look and positive first impression, I have to say that they are just uncomfortable. Even after months of breaking them in, they still give me blisters on my heels, which has never happened with other reputable loafers I’ve owned. Moreover, the sole is extremely stiff and uncomfortable. Good shoes should never feel this way—wearing them for more than an hour is really not a pleasurable experience. Additionally, the leather quality is mediocre; it scratches easily, and despite using cedar shoe trees, it shows terrible wear marks even though they aren’t even a year old. I really wanted to give these shoes a chance because I like the brand’s history, but unfortunately, I cannot fully recommend them. Overall, I cannot call this a happy purchase and I sincerely hope it’s just my unlucky pair.

Kvaliteten på strumporna känns bra, svårt att veta redan nu om de håller länge. Färgen är återgiven bra på hemsidan, de är snygga och sticker ut. Ett extra plus är längden. De är mycket längre i modellen än säg ex Granqvists strumpor. Det passar mig bra som annars tycker att andra strumpor inte når ordentligt över vaden.

After reading reviews through various places for Myrqvist, I was hesitant to purchase these shoes. Particularly around sizing, shipping and craftsmanship. I can only assume that the reviews I have read are corporate sabotage, because my experience with Myrqvist has been exceptional. Ordering from the UK, the shoes arrived a day earlier than expected regardless of two bank holidays. The fit, a UK size 9, is perfect. Whilst I’d seen others say that the shoes run small, this truly wasn’t the case for the receiver of the shoes, who said they are an astonishingly good fit. The craftsmanship of the half leather / half rubber sole is excellent. I see no reason why it won’t be an easy job for a good cobbler to re-heel the shoes in what I am sure will be many years time. Everything about the shoe is outstanding. It’s true, and others agree - these shoes are of greater quality than shoes at an exceptionally higher price. I recommend Myrqvist without hesitation, and will be a returning customer.

I am totally unhappy with my order. The shoe was returned on March 8th, 2024 because it was too small, a new shoe in the right size was ordered. The return was received by MYROVIST on March 12, 2024, 2 weeks have now passed and the refund is still missing. Bad service, I'll probably have to turn on Pal Pal to get my money.

Poor quality and fitting

For a shoe market at high quality for cheaper prizes I can't agree. For a shoe at this price it was poor quality and bad sizing. The zipper then foot was fitted in shoe was not able to be zipped at all. And shoe wasn´t that premium. For me this shoe was a disappointment.

Suede not consistent, finishing of the shoe sloppy

When I opened the box I noticed the fuzziness of the suede was not consistent especially on the side of the toe. As well the tan leather for the inside was showing more on one side than the other where the area was only supposed to show the dark grey suede like the inner leather was not trimmed enough on tge inside. There was also some glue on the suede near the toe and the rubber lower seemed to have been scuffed or in manufacturing removed slightly making the workmanship sub par.

Bang for the Buck

I do own a Dr Marten Adrian loafer. This Stenhammer loafer is way better in terms of built quality and finish. Before I’ve got this pair, I’ve bought GH bass weejuns and returned it. I’ve bought Bobbies Paris Allen Loafers as well returned it. They all don’t fit really well. This pair fits TRUE TO SIZE. I am a UK 7 and have slightly wider feet. The only gripe I have is the comfortability after wearing for long hours. And I guess this is expected for a pair of loafers or dress shoe of any kind. I also wish the sole is dark brown coloured to match the leather instead of it being black. Overall, a solid paid of loafers and I might be trying their other ranges in the future.

I received these boots and instantly loved the look of them. When I first tried them on I was concerned that they would rub and be uncomfortable around the top of the boot however after only 2 or 3 wears they have softened nicely and are perfectly comfortable to wear.

I always over research and agonize over quality of goods I purchase, especially gifts. I decided on these engraved shoe trees for my son and nephews for Christmas 2 years ago as a stocking stuffer to go with their main gift, Gucci loafers. Duved 2 Green Suede

Wonderful shoe. Very nice appearance. I have changed the inner sole to a more comfy, breathing one. The original was a piece of plastic with a tvery hin leather glued on top. Now its very good for the foot. To be perfect I’d like to have half-sizes, these are a tad to large for me but I prefer that from too small. I will use them a lot!
